You are right - it says more about them than about you. Im glad you are not beating yourself up about this. I admire you SO much and every time you describe how you get yourself through something (something that we all can relate to) you leave me in awe and inspire me to be a better person. I wish I could just carry you in my pocket everywhere I go... mb then I'd be HALF as amazing as you are :)Alicia Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06244714478310893367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24806308.post-30155550748125569332013-02-02T07:55:19.894-08:002013-02-02T07:55:19.894-08:00Dear Kari, I'm not sure what happened on Thurs...Dear Kari, I'm not sure what happened on Thursday. Did you have a car accident? Did you accidentally knock someone over?

What I do know is that you have the maturity to forgive yourself for a moment of inattention. That can be so hard at times especially when one is as demanding as you and I are of ourselves.

This need for perfection in all things comes I think for me and perhaps for you from our lackluster childhood in which we felt we were not loved and so we had to prove ourselves worthy of love by always being perfect. And figuring out what "perfect" meant took up so much of our thinking time.

I'm glad that Thursday you paid attention to your feelings and that you let yourself be part of the human race, a flawed individual whose motives--from all I've read of your blog--are seldom, if ever, suspect.

Be good to yourself and know that you are, indeed, special and that living in and being present to the moment is a lifelong endeavor.
